Maths Methods Workshop
Due to overwhelming success, our Maths Methods Workshops are returning for 2026! Each time, students leave our workshops feeling more confident, capable, and ready to tackle Maths Methods with a clearer understanding and renewed motivation. With proven strategies, engaging teaching, and consistently positive feedback from students and families, our workshops have helped learners strengthen foundations, master key concepts, and approach maths with confidence. We’re excited to bring these highly sought-after workshops back in 2026 to continue supporting students in achieving real results in maths.
These workshops are intended for students studying Year 11 & 12 Maths Methods in 2026. The workshops will run over a full day (commencing 9am sharp, and concluding 3:30pm). Priced at $300 (+ GST), included are full-day sessions focusing on Unit 2 and/or 4 content. Printed and digital learning materials, morning tea, and lunch are also included.
Topics covered in this workshop align with the state curriculum for Maths Methods and cover the following topics:
Unit 1
- Topic 1: Surds and quadratic functions
- Topic 2: Binomial expansion and cubic functions
- Topic 3: Functions and relations
- Topic 4: Trigonometric functions
- Topic 5: Probability
Unit 2
- Topic 1: Exponential functions
- Topic 2: Logarithms and logarithmic functions
- Topic 3: Introduction to differential calculus
- Topic 4: Applications of differential calculus
- Topic 5: Further differentiation
Unit 3
- Topic 1: Differentiation of exponential and logarithmic functions
- Topic 2: Differentiation of trigonometric functions and differentiation rules
- Topic 3: Further applications of differentiation
- Topic 4: Introduction to integration
- Topic 5: Discrete random variables
Unit 4
- Topic 1: Further integration
- Topic 2: Trigonometry
- Topic 3: Continuous random variables and the normal distribution
- Topic 4: Sampling and proportions
- Topic 5: Interval estimates for proportions
With our standard tutoring rate at $70/hr, the workshop intensive works out to be around $40/hr—a great value program to help students get started on the right foot. All students are provided with a study guide that covers the entire Unit 1 and/or Unit 4 curriculum, plus given access to an extensive range of simple familiar, complex familiar, and complex unfamiliar problems – vital to performing well in both internal and external assessments. Morning tea, lunch, and refreshments are also provided.
Graphics Calculator Workshop (Maths Methods)
Our Graphics Calculator Workshop is designed to help students get the most out of their calculator and use it as a powerful tool during exams. This workshop is ideal for Year 11 and Year 12 Maths Methods students who want to improve their calculator skills and maximise their performance in assessments and exams.
This practical workshop will focus on the CASIO fx-CG50 AU graphics calculator, the approved calculator used by many Maths Methods students.
